Inauguration of N.S.S Activities on 31-08-2017
Activities of the NSS for the academic year 2016-17, were inaugurated on 31st August 2016, by Mr.. Harish , Lecturer , Dept of Commerce Sri Mahaveera college, Moodbidri. The occasion was graced by Mr. J. J. Pinto, Principal SNM Polytechnic, Mr. Ramprasad.M, N.S.S Officer of S.N.M.Polytechnic Mr.Sathisk K of 3rd year DEE, Ms.Ramya of 3rd year DEC , .Mr.Deekshith of 3rd year DAT and Ms.Nishritha of 3rd year DEE
Ms. Sushmitha and team of 2nd year DCS rendered the invocation. Mr.Amithraj , of 3rd year DAE welcomed the gathering. Mr. Ramprasad M. NSS officer briefed out the plans and reviews of N.S.S .Mr. Sanathraj of 3rd year DEC introduced the NSS Leaders , N.S.S song was sung by Ms. Sandhyashree and team of SNM Polytechnic . Mr. Sujith of 3rd year DAT proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Meghashree of 3rd year DEE anchored the programme.

Blood Donation camp on 07-09-2016
The N.S.S.Units of S.N.M.Polytechnic and Prerana Charitable Trust (R) Moodbidri , Jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp in our Polytechnic on 7th September 2016, in association with Blood Bank K.M.C Mangalore and Indian Red cross Mangalore unit.
Participation of students in the camp was very encouraging. 165 sachet of blood was collected from staff , student and old student donors.
N.S.S Annual Camp 2016 held at G.H.P School Saavya
The annual special camp of both N.SS.units was held at the premises of Government Upgraded Higher Primary School, Saavya, BelthangadyTaluk, from 10th to 16th December 2016. Sri Dharanendra Kumar, Member ofD. K. ZillaPanchayat, inaugurated the N.S.S.Camp on 10th December 2016. Dr. Guruprasad M. Hoogar, Programme Co-ordinator, National Service Scheme, Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore visited the N.S.S. Special Camp on 13th December 2016. The valedictory function was held on 16th December 2016. Sri B.Aboobakar, Head Master, Govt. Upgraded Higher Primary School, Saavya delivered the valedictory address. This special camp was conducted successfully with the co-operation and active participation of our N.S.S.volunteers, staff members and all the dwellers of Savya Village.
Blood Donation camp held on 18-01-2017
The N.S.S.Units of S.N.M.Polytechnic and Prerana Charitable Trust (R) Moodbidri , and Rotary club Moodbidri Mid town, Jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp in our Polytechnic on 18th January 2017, in association with Blood Bank K.M.C Mangalore unit.
Participation of students in the camp was encouraging. 95 sachet of blood was collected from student and donors.
Passport and PAN card Mela
Our N.S.S. Units arranged a “PASSPORT AND PAN CARD MELA”, in association with Arun Associates, Mangalore during the third week of January 2017.
Divisional Level N.S.S Camp
Our N.S.S. Volunteers Mr. M.Gangadhar, II D.M.E, and Mr. Sudheer, II D.E&C attended the Divisional Level N.S.S Camp held at Govt. Polytechnic, Bagepalli from 11th to 17th January 2017.
State Level N.S.S. Special Camp
Ten N.S.S. Volunteers and N.S.S. Programme Officer Sri Ramprasad M. attended the State Level N.S.S. Special Camp held at Soraba, from 2nd to 8th February 2017.

Activities of the N.S.S for the academic year 2015-16, were inaugurated on 3rd September 2015 by Prof. Raveesh Kumar M, Principal, Sri Dhavala College, Moodbidri. Sri PrabhathBalnadu, Lecturer, Jain Pre University College, Moodbidri was the Chief Guest.
7 Regular activities of N.S.S were held in the premises.
The annual special camp of both N.SS.units of S.N.Mudbidri Polytechnic was held at the premises of ZillaPanchayat Higher Primary School, Aarambodi, BelthangadyTaluk from 4th to 10th December 2015. Sri K.R. Pandith, Advocate, and Member of Governing Council of S.N.M.Polytechnic inaugurated the Special Camp on 4th December 2015. The valedictory function of N.S.S. Special camp was held on 10thDecember 2015. Dr. YogishKairody, Lecturer, Alva’s College, Moodbidri delivered the valedictory speech.
Blood donation camp
The N.S.S.Units and Youth Red Cross Unit of our polytechnic in association with Blood Bank, K.M.C. Mangalore, Indian Red Cross Society, Moodbidri and Rotary Club of Moodbidri, organized a Blood Donation Camp in our Polytechnic on 29th September 2015, About 210 units of blood was collected from the donor staff and students. Sri Mohammed Isaac, Tahsildar, Moodbidri, Sri RajendraPai, Vice-President, Indian Red Cross Society, Moodbidri branch, Rtn. P. K. Thomas, President of Rotary Club of Moodbidri, Rtn. Govindan P., and Rtn.AbulalPuttige were present during this camp.
Raasthreeya yuva sapthaha 2015-16
On the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanthi the N.S.S. units of S.N.M.Polytechnic organized “National Youth Week (Raasthreeya Yuva Sapthaha)”in our Polytechnic. Dr. Gurudas S.P., Lecturer in E&C Engg, delivered a lecture highlighting the significance.
Trekking by N.S.S units
The annual trekking by N.S.S. Units of our polytechnic was held on Sunday, the 6th March 2016, to Tadiyandamol, second highest peak of Karnataka nearMadikeri. 60 NSS Volunteers accompanied by 4 faculty members participated.

Annual Report 2014-2015
The activities N.S.S.Unit and Youth Red Cross Unit of S.N.M.Polytechnic were inaugurated by Dr.B.A.Yathikumar Swamy Gowda, Principal, Alvas’ College of Nursing, on Friday, the 22ndAugust 2014. Sri Dheerendra Jain, N.S.S.Programme Officer, Alvas’ College of Nursing, was the Chief Guest.
Additional unit of N.S.S. with 100 volunteers is sanctioned to our Polytechnic from this academic year. Sri. Varun Kumar, Lecturer, Dept. of Mechatronics Engineering is appointed as the programme officer for this additional unit.
N.S.S. Leaders of Unit-1 are Yogeesh III DE&E, Deekshith D. II DE&E, Ms. Anusha N.S. III DE&C, and Ms. Vidya, II DE&C
N.S.S Leaders of Unit- II are Akhil Sanil, III DE&C, Yuvaraj III DME, Ms. Harshitha N II DE&E, & Ms Hithakshi, II DE&E.
Out of 935 Student of Polytechnic 220 Students are enrolled their names as a NSS Volunteers for this academic year.
About 8 Weekend works were conducted in college campus during the academic year. 40 students of NSS were participated in Innovation club Project Exhibition as volunteers .
Annual Special Camp of N.S.S. Units held at Shirthady:
Annual N.S.S Special Camp was held from 6th to 12th December 2014 at Holy Angel’s/ Mount Carmel School premises, Shirthady. Sri. S D Sampath Samrajya, Deputy Chairman, Governing Council inaugurated the camp.
The valedictory function of this annual special camp was held on 12th December 2014. Rev.Fr.Francis Crasata, Parish Priest, Mount Carmel Church, & Correspondent of Holy Angels/Mount Carmel Institutions, Shirthady delivered the valedictory speech.
About 50 N.S.S volunteers had a Picnic programme to Malpe island and Murudeshwara 5th April 2015. Our students were accompanied by Sri Ramprasad M., N.S.S. Programme Officer, and faculty members Sri Varun Kumar, Dr. S.P Gurudas, Sri Harsha, Sri Arul Leonard Miranda, Mrs.Jyothi, and non teaching staff members Sri Harish Bhat and Sri Raghavendra Rao.
Our N.S.S.Volunteers Mr. Satish, Mr. Sanath Raj, Mr. Deekshith , Ms.Shyamily, Ms. Pratibha, Ms.Sushma accompanied by Sri Ramprasad M.,and Mr. Varun Kumar N.S.S.Programme Officers, attended 7days State level NSS camp held from 14th Jan to 20th Jan 2015, at K.V.G.Polytechnic, Sullia.
N.S.S Volunteers Mr. Deekshith D. Amin , Mr. Kiran Kumar, Mr. Deril , Attended National Integration Camp (NIC) held at Sri mahaveera college Moodbidri from 24th December to 30th December 2014.
The Youth Red Cross Unit and the N.S.S.Units of S.N.M.Polytechnic had organized a Blood Donation Camp in our Polytechnic on 3rd March 2015, in co-operation with blood bank, K.M.C. Mangalore. 170 sachet of blood was collected from staff and student donors. The entire expenses of the camp were funded by one of our well wisher of our Polytechnic, Sri. Rajendra Pai.

The activities of N.S.S unit for the year 2013-2014 were inaugurated by Mr Praveen Kumar, Asst.Professor, Dept. of Political Science, and N.S.S.Officer, Sri Mahaveera First Grade College. Mr.J.J.Pinto, Principal presided over the function.
Mr.Ramprasad M., Lecturer in E&E Engineering is appointed as the N.S.S programme Officer of our N.S.S. unit from this academic year. Mr.Varun Kumar Lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering, Mr Gopalakrishna, Lecturer in Civil Engineering, and Mr. Raghavendra Rao, Helper, Department of E&C Engineering provided assistance to the programme officer. Mr.Gururaj of III DE&C, and Mr.Thrishul of III DE&E, Miss.Anusha of III DE&E Miss. Pratheeksha of III DE&C are the unit leaders.

The annual special camp of N.S.S. for this academic year was held from 5th December 2013 to 11th December 2013 at Jawaharalal Nehru High School, Shirthady, Mangalore Taluk. Mr. S.D.Sampath Samrajya, Vice President of Governing Council of S.N.M.Polytechnic, and President of Jawahar Vidya Sangha, Shirthady inaugurated the Special Camp on 5th December 2013. The Valedictory function was held on 11th December 2013. Mr. M.Sanjayanth Kumar Shetty, Retd. Headmaster, and Secretary of Jawahar Vidya Sangha, delivered the valedictory speech.
About 50 N.S.S volunteers had a treckking programme near Chickmagalur on 6th March 2014. Our students were accompanied by Sri J.J.Pinto, Principal, Sri Ramprasad M., N.S.S. Programme Officer, and faculty members Sri Varun Kumar, Sri Ramesh Rao B., Sri Uttam P.U., Sri Gopalakrishna K.S., Sri Arul Leonard Miranda, Sri Rajendra K., Sri Krishanaraja, Mrs.Jyothi, Mrs.Divya and non teaching staff members Sri Harish Bhat and Sri Raghavendra Rao.
Our N.S.S.Volunteers Mr.Gururaj of III DE&C, Mr.Ashwath of III DAE, Mr.Ajay of II DMC, Mr.Dixith of I DE&E, Miss.Anusha Y. III DE&E Miss.Anusha II DE&C Miss. Vidya I DE&C Miss. Harshitha I DE&E, accompanied by Sri Ramprasad M., N.S.S.Programme Officer, attended a two days workshop on “Creative Leadership” held on 8th and 9th March 2014, at K.V.G.Polytechnic, Sullia.
